If any of you reading this have been following my blog for a while, you'll know that making jewellery has kindled an interest in colour for me. I'm much braver with colour than I used to be, and I get a lot of enjoyment from 'painting' with my spectrum of coloured wire. My favourite colour has always been green - the colour of trees and new growth - but in recent years I've become especially fond of zingy, spring-like lime green. As the snowdrops begin to push through the soil and my house is brightened by sunny daffodils, it feels like spring is finally on its way. What better time to celebrate my favourite colour?
One of my favourite local places.

Local woods.
Druantia bracelet.
So, what's your favourite colour? And do you have a reason, or does it just resonate with you for no particular reason? :)

My favourite two colours are Blue & green. But not just any the blues & greens you see in the ocean. I love the colours so much because my favourite place is to be by the sea. It's like being a little closer to heaven.
Oh yes, I know exactly where you're coming from - I LOVE the sea! I always get choked up when I manage to get back there, it's a bit like coming home. :)
My favourite has always been red, no idea why! Has to be a good rich red though, not orangey, and I love the deeper shades :)
I agree with you about the shade - I love rich dark red. I can't wear it any more, unfortunately, with red hair, but I wore it a lot when my hair was black! :)
Shades of purple are always my favorite but I am most fond of the lighter shades, lilacs, lavenders. It's just a soothing color to me. I painted my office Water Hyacinth, it's just this lovely lavender/periwinkle shade and I love it!
Oh Louise you are a woman after my own heart! That is exactly what it is "like going home".
Purple is my second favourite colour - my bedroom/workroom is lilac and I've just ordered some new curtains with purple and green flowers. I find it soothing, too. :)
Yes, Angela - hubby usually leaves me to have my moment of reunion with the sea when we arrive. ;) Our holiday to Cornwall is booked (well, it will be when I've returned the booking form!) - yay! :)
Blue, any shade is fine. I love it, it just calms me.
Yes, blue is restful, isn't it, Kim? :)
